Snow Family

Another Christmas card, this time it's a Penny Black stamp I've not used in ages.  It's time to start revisiting all the 'stuff' I've not used in a while.

I can't give you any details on the paper, it's from my stash and must be at least four or five years old.  I didn't have any pink card to match my image, so white card was used and coloured in at the edge bits with the same pink Copic I used on the image.  The image was stamped, coloured with Copics and die cut using Labels One, for the shading at the edges I used chalks.  The sentiment is LOTV Christmas Circular Sentiments, matted and layered with Standard Circles Large and Small.  The other die cuts are by Memory Box and are Frosty Border and Snowflake Corner, I love these wee dies and it's hard not to use them on every Christmas card I make.

The Copic list is small this time B0000,00,02,05.  R81,83,85,89.  YR02,07.  W0,1,2,3,5.

I've popped on some sticky jewels to give a bit of bling.  I love the traditional colours of red, green and gold for Christmas decorating in the house but I would get bored to tears using them for all my Christmas cards.  I thought this was a nice change, blue, pink and white and it let me use up some of my older paper.

Hope you have a good and crafty day.  I'm getting cards ready for both the cardmaking clubs I go to, I like to get everything sorted out, coloured, die cut and all the embellishments ready to go with me.  I usually do, in between all the blethering (chatting), three cards for each class, it takes quite a bit of preparation time but no matter how hard you try, you cannot take your whole craft room with you when you go crafting out in the big wide world.

Christmas Candle

This was the first 8X8 card I made and it's for my daughter and her husband.  The base is by Craftwork Cards, the card and paper are from my stash and needed used up before I buy anymore, ha-ha.

The die-cuts I've used are Go Kreate XXL Square Frames Frilly #10 and Spellbinder Lattice Rectangles.  The Stamp is Penny Black and is called Xmas Light, I used Versa Mark and silver embossing powder to heat emboss the image, something I've not done for a few years.  I love this stamp and it's so easy to use it had to be brought out of retirement.  I've popped on some sticky jewels just to round off the design.  I especially love the colour combo of this card and I adore the Go Kreate XXL dies, they're brilliant, this one makes the card look very classy.

Perfect Gift

A hug is a perfect gift, how true!  I haven't really indulged in much crafting since we started the kitchen refit on the last week of April.  Yesterday, I felt the need to get started again and this is what I came up with.

The stamp is by Penny Black and is called 'A Hug Is...',  I used a Rusty Brown Stazon inkpad to make the words standout.  The flower is made using two different die sets, the Spellbinders Rose Creations and Marianne Ribbon Flower 1.  The leaves are from Spellbinders Foliage set and the twirly bit is from the Doodle Parts set, the butterfly is also from Spellbinders.  The card, paper, brad and jewels are all from my stash.  I love the nice soft colours in this card, it appeals to me, and I really enjoyed making the flower.

Well, that's all for today.  I need to get stuff ready to take with me for tomorrow mornings craft club, I haven't been there since we started the kitchen and I'm really looking forward to it.

Christmas Mouse

I love the beautiful soft colours of this card, and of course, the mouse is a wee cutie.  I made the card at the craft club meeting last night, that was the one and only card I made in three hours.  There was more blethering (chatting) going on than card making.

The stamp is from Penny Black called Thinking Of You and was stamped and coloured with the usual suspects....... Copics.  What would I do without them?  The Spellbinders are Large Labels, Create A Flake One and Snowflake Wonder.  The snowflakes were cut using glitter card in matching colours to the matting and layering.  The pearls were a mixture of Papermania, Kaiser Craft and Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Martha Stewart punch around the page is Aspen Snowflake.  The wee guys pompom and trim on his hat were given a coat of glue and Glamour Dust to give a little more bling.

Christmas Choir

This is one of my favourite stamps and I can't resist using it.  I make a lot of Christmas cards in a year up to two hundred, some for myself, some for my daughter and the rest to charity, so I need to make them all year round.  I love Christmas and all the glitz associated with it that brightens up the mid winter blues, so it's no hardship to make these cards even in the summer.  I bore the life out of my friends at our craft club showing them Christmas cards all year long, except of course during January when I like to make most of my birthday cards.  We're a small family so I don't have many to make really.

 

This is a Penny Black stamp called Caroling Trio, I think the mice are soooo cute.  I've stamped on white pearlescent card using a Tuxedo Black Memento inkpad and coloured using my Copics.  The circle and scalloped circle are both Spellbinders, aren't they wonderful, I love nesties.  The doilly behind them came from a stall, sorry I can't remember the name of the company, at the Glasgow SECC craft show a couple of years ago.  The paper and card came from my stash and are mostly several years old.  Note to me: must use up more of the older 'stuff'.
