Invitation To Tea

I think I've forgotten how to blog,  I haven't posted since last June.  So here goes.........

This is an invitation for my sister to come to afternoon tea, we only see each other about once a year if we're lucky.  She is in the States just now visiting her son, so this will be waiting for her when she gets home.    It's the first of this kind of card I've made and I really like it.  Thanks to Bev Rochester for the inspiration, she makes such lovely cards, I'm always soooo envious.

I've been practicing with my Grand Calibre and my Grand Nesties, this is the first shaped card I've tried, and I love it.  I think it's very elegant, at least that was the look I was going for.  The base is Grand Labels 1 and the decorative paper is Victoria and Albert, Hanoverian Linen.

The foilage is Martha Stewart branch and frond punches and the flower is a Marianne die.  The lovely foilage flourish is from Cheery Lynne dies and is called Fanciful Flourish and I just adore it, I can see this on many, many cards coming up soon (I hope).

The sentiment is on a Label Five nestie, nesties are a fabulous invention, so versatile, sooo easy to use.  I hope you like this card as much as I do.

    1. Anne, I would definitely recommend it, although the large dies are very expensive. It's easy to use and the handle is soooo easy to turn. I thought it would takeover from my Cuttlebug but it doesn't take the thick Sissix dies. I'm loving the shaped cards you can make with the large dies, there will be more of those coming along. Thanks for the lovely feedback. Hugz, Janice

  4. I have a proposition for you! I LOVE this card sooooo much that I want to put this technique using your design, not exactly how you did it. I would like to offer you 1 free month of my site that has over 150 video techniques with a pdf with dimensions and supplies. I know I am not CASE'ing this card per se, but I love the design so much I want to reward you for letting me use it! My site usually costs $35.00 for a 6 month period, or $60.00 for a year. IF you buy from me OR I use one of your techniques you get to have a month for free!! So? What do you say? :-) Please get back to me ASAP so I can start planning that card!
